Best RTX 2070 SUPER Graphics Cards

Looking for a new high-end graphics card to power your gaming PC? In this guide, we’ve rated and reviewed seven of the best RTX 2070 SUPER video cards.

We have now taken a look the best RTX 2080 Ti video cards and the best RTX 2080 video cards. Today, we’re going to take a look at some of the best RTX 2070 SUPER graphics cards.

While NVIDIA’s RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 SUPER, and RTX 2080 are higher-end GPU options in terms of pure performance, the RTX 2070 standard and SUPER offer a better price-to-performance ratio for anyone who is looking to game on a high refresh rate monitor with a 1080P (or 1440P) resolution display. The RTX 2070 and RTX 2070 SUPER might not be able to match the RTX 2080 Ti or RTX 2080 (SUPER or standard) in terms of sheer power, but it is no slouch either.

So, if you don’t have an unlimited budget and you aren’t trying to build a 4K-killing gaming PC, the RTX 2070 or RTX 2070 SUPER are solid video card options to choose. In this guide, we’ll break down some of the best RTX 2070 options you have and help you decide which one would be best for your needs. There’s a lot to like about Gigabyte’s RTX 2070 Windforce OC video card. It sports a triple fan cooling design and comes with a boost clock of 1785 Mhz. It also comes in at just under $500, making it one of the cheapest RTX 2070 SUPER graphics cards currently available.

The ZOTAC Mini is another RTX 2070 SUPER that comes in at under $500, but it has a slightly lower boost clock (1770MHz) and doesn’t have as robust of a cooling configuration. Although, with just a dual fan design, the ZOTAC Mini is a bit shorter—so, if case clearance is a concern, opting for the ZOTAC Mini over the Windforce OC might make sense. But, for the most part, if you’re building inside of a mid-tower or larger case, it can likely fit the longer Windforce OC.

The other RTX 2070 SUPER graphics card that might be worth considering is MSI’s Gaming Trio (mentioned in the Honorable Mention section below) or the ASUS ROG STRIX listed below. Both options are more expensive than Gigabyte’s Windforce OC, though, but the ROG STRIX comes with a higher boost clock speed.

Ultimately, if you’re looking for an NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER that comes in at a fair price point, has a high boost clock rate, and has a solid cooling design, the Gigabyte Windforce OC is probably your best bet. If you want an option that has RGB lighting on it, though, then you might want to consider either the ASUS ROG STRIX listed below, or the MSI Trio listed in the Honorable Mentions section.

2. ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 2070 SUPER

The ASUS ROG STRIX comes with one of the higher boost clock rates out of the box right now. It comes with an 1830MHz boost clock speed and a strong triple fan cooling design. It also comes with RGB lighting on the fan casing.

The big problem with the ASUS RTX 2070 ROG STRIX SUPER, though, is that it comes in at nearly $600. And, while the higher factory overclock will give the ROG STRIX a bit of an edge in out-of-the-box performance over the Windforce OC, the reality is that the difference will be negligible and the performance gap can be closed further by overclocking.

So, the bottom line is that, while the ASUS ROG STRIX is a solid card, unless it goes on sale or drops in price significantly, you’d probably be better off just getting the Winforce OC listed above and overclocking it to match the factory overlock that the ASUS ROG STRIX features. However, if you don’t want to overclock your GPU yourself, or if you like the RGB lighting that this card comes with, and you don’t mind paying a premium to get it, then the ROG STRIX might be best for your specific needs.

3. ZOTAC RTX 2070 Mini

The cheapest RTX 2070 (non-SUPER)

If you’re looking for the cheapest RTX 2070 GPU possible, then ZOTAC’s RTX 2070 (non-SUPER) Mini card is worth checking out.

At just under ~$400, it is easily the cheapest standard RTX 2070 currently on the market. As it is a compact graphics card, though, it doesn’t have the most robust cooling configuration. However, for standard users, it should get the job done just fine.

Your other option at the ~$400 price range is an AMD RX 5700 XT. And, most benchmarks show those two GPUs pulling fairly even in performance.

But, if you want an NVIDIA card, or you want more ray tracing performance, then this RTX 2070 standard is worth considering over an RX 5700 XT. And, if you want to spend as little as possible on an RTX 2070 GPU, then the ZOTAC Mini (non-SUPER) is probably the best option for you.

4. ZOTAC RTX 2070 SUPER Mini

While the ZOTAC RTX 2070 Mini is the cheapest RTX 2070 on the market, ZOTAC’s RTX 2070 SUPER Mini is probably the best option if you’re looking to build a powerful mini-ITX gaming PC. The SUPER Mini does come in at about ~$70 more than ZOTAC’s standard RTX 2070 mini, but that price difference will give you a decent bump in performance.

The SUPER Mini comes with a 1770MHz boost clock speed and measures in at 8.3-inches long. And, despite its compact size, it actually sports dual fans instead of the common single fan configuration found on most compact graphics cards.

Overall, though, unless you’re building a compact system, you’d be better off opting for the Gigabyte Windforce OC listed above, as it is only ~$10 more and it features a higher boost clock rate and better cooling.

5. EVGA RTX 2070 SUPER XC Hybrid

Best RTX 2070 SUPER with an AIO

EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 Super XC Hybrid

    8GB GDDR6 VRAM

    120mm AIO

    10.5-inches Long

Our Rating: 9.1/10

Check Price on Amazon

One interesting RTX 2070 SUPER GPU option is EVGA’s XC Hybrid. Rather than relying on a standard fan-driven cooling system, the XC Hybrid features a pre-mounted AIO cooler.

The 120mm AIO cooler and a single fan help deliver excellent thermals on the XC Hybrid. Utilizing the 120mm AIO cooler also helps the XC Hybrid deliver a higher factory boost clock speed (1800MHz) despite being a more compact card (10.5-inches long) than its competitors.

The downside of the XC Hybrid (or any other graphics card that comes with an AIO cooler) is that it will come with a premium. While the AIO will help it stay a bit cooler than its competitors, it also drives the price of this RTX 2070 SUPER to nearly $600.

And, in the grand scheme of things, the performance difference between an option like EVGA’s XC Hybrid and Gigabyte’s Windforce OC will be pretty small. So, if you want to save some money without sacrificing too much performance, then I’d go with Gigabyte’s Windforce OC. If you like the idea of having an AIO cooling your GPU, and you don’t mind paying extra for it, though, then the XC Hybrid might be the best option for you.

6. ZOTAC RTX 2070 SUPER Twin Fan

Honorable mention #1

ZOTAC RTX 2070 SUPER Twin Fan
    1770 MHz Boost Clock

    8GB GDDR6 VRAM

    Dual Fan Cooling

    10.6-inches Long

Our Rating: 9.0/10

Check Price on Amazon

As an alternative option to the Gigabyte RTX 2070 SUPER Windforce OC, the Zotac Twin Fan is another RTX 2070 SUPER option that features a boost clock that goes as high as 1770MHz. It also comes with a bit of RGB lighting on the card’s logo for anyone looking to add some extra color to their system.

The Zotac Twin Fan also comes in at the same price as the Gigabyte Windforce OC as well (just under $500). The downside of the Zotac Twin Fan when compared to the Windforce OC, though, is that the Twin Fan comes with a slightly lower boost clock (1770MHz vs 1785MHz) and it comes with less cooling (two fans vs three fans).

So, while the two will likely perform very similar in the majority of games, in our opinion, for the same price the Gigabyte Windforce OC is a slightly better buy than the Zotac Twin Fan. Of course, if the Twin Fan were to go on sale it would be worth considering over the Windforce OC.

7. MSI RTX 2070 SUPER Trio

Honorable mention #2

MSI RTX 2070 SUPER Gaming Trio
    1770 MHz Boost Clock

    8GB GDDR6 VRAM

    Triple Fan Cooling

    12.9-inches Long

Our Rating: 9.0/10

Check Price on Amazon

Another RTX 2070 SUPER GPU worth mentioning is MSI’s RTX 2070 SUPER Gaming Trio. The Gaming Trio features a 1770MHz boost clock rate, triple fan cooling and RGB lighting.

However, the MSI Gaming Trio comes in at just under $540, making ~$40 more expensive than both the Gigabyte RTX 2070 SUPER Windforce OC and the Zotac RTX 2070 SUPER Twin fan. And, since it doesn’t have a higher factory clock speed than either of those options and its cooling configuration is on par with the Windforce OC, the $40 difference you’re paying is really for the RGB lights.

Although, considering the premium that comes with RGB lighting on PC hardware, a $40 price hike is probably par for the course. So, if you want the RGB lighting that the Gaming Trio has to offer, there’s nothing wrong with that.

Just note, though, that at 12.9-inches long, this card is quite a bit longer than the other options on this list. It should have a problem fitting in most mid tower cases or full tower cases, but you’ll definitely want to check and see if it will fit in your gaming PC build before you purchase it

8. MSI RTX 2070 ARMOR

Honorable mention #3

MSI RTX 2070 ARMOR
    1620 MHz Boost Clock

    8GB GDDR6 VRAM

    Dual Fan Cooling

    11.6-inches Long

Our Rating: 9.0/10

Check Price on Amazon

One alternative to the EVGA RTX 2070 XC ULTRA is MSI’s RTX 2070 ARMOR. Like the EVGA XC ULTRA, the MSI ARMOR also comes in at ~$480. However, just like the XC ULTRA, the MSI ARMOR doesn’t come with a big enough discount to justify choosing it over the Gigabyte RTX 2070 SUPER Windforce OC.

We felt that it did make sense to include on this list, though, because if the standard RTX 2070s were to drop in price, this would be a good option to watch. MSI’s ARMOR edition cards usually sit in the bottom price range of a GPU series and so if there is a price drop, there’s a good chance that this one could come down to a much more reasonable level.

But, at its current price, and for how little extra an RTX SUPER GPU will currently run you, there’s really no point in choosing the MSI ARMOR right now.

9. EVGA RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra+

Honorable mention #4

EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 Super XC Ultra+
    1800 MHz Boost Clock

    8GB GDDR6 VRAM

    Dual Fan Cooling

    10.6-inches Long

Our Rating: 9.1/10

Check Price on Amazon

Another NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER option that comes with a slightly higher boost clock speed than the competition is EVGA’s XC Ultra+. The XC Ultra+ comes with an 1800MHz boost clock rate, which makes it a bit faster out-of-the-box than Gigabyte’s Windforce OC, ZOTAC’s SUPER Twin Fan and SUPER Mini, and MSI’s SUPER Trio.

Although, the downside of the XC Ultra+ is the price it comes in at. At just under ~$600 it is significantly more expensive than the Windforce OC despite not offering a much higher boost clock speed and/or cooling configuration.

Of course, EVGA does have one of the best reputations among graphics card manufacturers and, so, if you’re someone who is willing to pay a premium for better technical and customer support, then the XC Ultra+ (or any other EVGA RTX 2070 SUPER GPU) is worth buying. But, at the moment, there are probably better options out there for your money.

Which RTX 2070 is Best for You?

The NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER is the perfect GPU for gamers that don’t have an enormous budget to build a new gaming PC with (or to use to upgrade their graphics card). With RTX 2070 SUPER options that come in at under $500, you could definitely fit one of these cards into a $1,000-$1,500 gaming PC. And, if you are going to choose an RTX 2070 for your new build or upgrade, just make sure that you pair it with a G-Sync monitor to get an extra-smooth experience in your games.

Overall, we felt that the RTX 2070 SUPER graphics card listed above respresented the best offerings in the market at the moment. So, if you have a moderate amount to spend and you’re looking for the best GPU for your needs and budget, one of the options listed above should work for you.
