1. ASUS ROG Strix GA35
The most extreme gaming desktop from ASUS
If you’re looking for an extreme gaming computer, ASUS’ ROG Strix GA35 is about as powerful as they get. With an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X processor, an NVIDIA RTX 3090 GPU, and 32GB of RAM, there really isn’t anything that this desktop can’t do.
If you want to pair this gaming PC with a high-end 4K 144Hz display, it’s got enough power to do so. If you’re and extreme competitive gamer and you want to pair it with a 360Hz 1080P display, it will work for that, too.
It also comes with a 1TB SSD and a secondary 2TB hard drive, built-in Wi-Fi support, USB 3.2 ports, an AIO CPU cooler, a bunch of RGB lights, and a case with a transparent side panel.
Ultimately, if you’re looking for a top-of-the-line desktop for gaming, the ASUS ROG Strix GA35 is an option you’ll want to consider.
2. ASUS ROG Strix G15CE
A high-end RTX 3080 ASUS desktop
The ASUS ROG Strix GA35 is extremely expensive and most people won’t want to for out over ~$5,000 in order to get it. The good news is that, while the GA35 is extremely powerful, it is probably overkill for the vast majority of gamers. For a more affordable alternative, the ASUS ROG Strix G15CE is going to provide almost as good of in-game performance as the GA35, but for a fraction of the price.
In fact, at just under ~$2,600, the G15CE is almost half the price as the GA35. And, it still comes with high-end hardware. It sports an Intel Core i7-11700KF processor, an NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU, and 16GB of RAM. It also comes with a 512GB SSD and a secondary 2TB hard drive.
Although that hardware configuration isn’t as extreme as what is found in the GA35, it is still a very impressive combination of components. And, it will be plenty powerful enough to have you maxing out games on a 4K display, or on a 1440P monitor with a high refresh rate
So, if you are looking for a powerful gaming desktop, but you don’t have the ridiculous budget necessary for landing the GA35, the ASUS ROG Strix G15CE is probably your best bet.
3. ASUS ROG Strix GA15DK
A solid value gaming PC option from ASUS
For an even more affordable ASUS gaming PC option, the ROG Strix GA15DK comes in at nearly $1,000 less than the G15CE listed above. And, while it doesn’t come with quite as high-end of a GPU, it still has a very powerful combination of hardware.
It comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X processor (comparable to the i7-11700KF in the G15CE), and NVIDIA RTX 3070 GPU, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a secondary 1TB hard drive.
The only real downgrade in the GA15DK from the G15CE is the RTX 3070 GPU. And, while the RTX 3080 is more powerful than the RTX 3070, the RTX 3070 is still a high-end GPU. It is powerful enough to max out anything you throw at it on a 1080P or 1440P gaming monitor and it will serve well for 4K gaming as well.
So, the bottom line is that if you don’t have over $2,000 to spend on a new computer, this ASUS gaming desktop is an awesome value option to consider.
4. ASUS ROG Strix GA15DH
The best budget ASUS gaming PC
One of the more affordable gaming PCs from ASUS is the ROG Strix GA15DH. It doesn’t quite match the hardware of the options listed above, but for ~$1,200 it offers an assortment of hardware that will allow it to max out any game on a 1080P display.
It comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X processor, an NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super graphics card, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and a secondary 1TB hard drive.
The glaring weakness in this system is the 8GB of RAM. And, if you are considering getting this build, I’d recommend purchasing a second stick of matching memory (3200MHz) in order to bump your total up to 16GB.
Other than that, the combination of the Ryzen 5 3600X and the GTX 1660 Super will provide excellent in-game performance and will allow you to game on a 1080P 144Hz display for an extra smooth experience.
