Want to get a new RTX 5090 gaming PC? Want to pay the lowest price possible? These two desktops might be what you’re looking for.
While there’s nothing cheap about the RTX 5090 and the prebuilt systems that come with them, there are RTX 5090 prebuilt desktops available right now that come with noticeably lower pricetags than other options.
In this quick post, we’ll take a look at a couple of the cheapest RTX 5090 prebuilt systems currently available.
1. Empowered PC Sentinel (14900K)
The cheapest RTX 5090 desktop right now

- Intel Core i9-14900KF
- NVIDIA RTX 5090
- 32GB of DDR5 RAM
- 2TB Gen 4 SSD
Empowered PC currently offers two of the most affordable RTX 5090 desktops, both of which are separate configurations of their Sentinel line of desktops.
Their cheapest option, which can currently be had for just under $5,600, comes with an Intel Core i9-14900KF, 32GB of RAM, a 2TB Gen 4 NVME SSD, a tempered glass mid tower case, and an AIO cooler.
$5,600 for a desktop is extreme any way you look at it, but considering how few RTX 5090 desktops are currently available, and considering how difficult it is to find an RTX 5090 graphics card in stock, this Empowered PC desktop is currently the cheapest guaranteed way to get your hands on an RTX 5090 right now.
The downside of this RTX 5090 desktop when compared to more expensive options is that it comes with the i9-14900KF processor and less memory. However, while the i9-14900KF isn’t as good of a CPU for gaming as AMD’s new Ryzen 7 9800X3D, it’s still an extremely strong processor. And, if you’re playing games at higher resolutions, or you’re mainly playing GPU bound titles, the difference between the 14900KF and 9800X3D will be negligible.
But, if you’re spending over $5K on a gaming PC, you likely don’t want to consider trade-offs in your specs… and, if that’s the case for you, then this next configuration of the Empowered PC Sentinel would probably be a better fit for your needs.
2. Empowered PC Sentinel (9800X3D)
The cheapest option that comes with a 9800X3D

- AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- NVIDIA RTX 5090
- 64GB of DDR5 RAM
- 2TB Gen 4 SSD
While the combination of the Intel Core i9-14900KF, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, and 32GB of DDR5 memory in the Empowered PC Sentinel desktop listed above will provide you with about as extreme of an array of hardware as you can currently find, for just a little more you can get more memory and an upgraded CPU.
This configuration of the Sentinel combines the RTX 5090 with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and 64GB of DDR5 memory.
Those extra 32GB of RAM likely won’t come into play in the vast majority of in-game scenarios.
However, the 9800X3D and its extra L3 cache will definitely make a difference in certain titles, especially games that are more CPU bound.
And, the difference between these two configurations is just a couple of hundred dollars.
So, if it were me, and I were deciding between these two systems, considering how expensive both desktops already are, I would spend the extra money to get the better overall gaming CPU.
Ultimately, there are no cheap ways to get a hold of an RTX 5090. But if you’re looking for the cheapest way possible to get NVIDIA’s newest flagship GPU in a prebuilt desktop, the two options listed above are your best bet at the moment.
