Do you need a new gaming PC desktop? Are you looking for a powerful option for under $2,000? In this guide, we’ve listed seven of the best RTX 2080 SUPER gaming PCs currently available, including a bunch of prebuilt systems and one DIY PC build.
We recently took a look at the top gaming PCs with RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards in them. Today, we’re going to take a look at the best prebuilt RTX 2080 SUPER PCs. And, while the RTX 2080 Ti is a more powerful GPU than the RTX 2080 SUPER, the RTX 2080 SUPER is still an extreme graphics processing option.
And, the good news is that, while you can’t find an RTX 2080 Ti system for under $2,000, you can get an RTX 2080 SUPER desktop for under $2,000. So, if you’re in the market for a powerful prebuilt gaming PC (or, you’re looking to build your own computer), one of the options listed below should work for you.
A Quick Look at the Best RTX 2080 SUPER Desktop PCs

1. iBUYPOWER Elite
Best RTX 2080 SUPER prebuilt desktop
With an Intel Core i9-9900K, 16GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, an RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card, and a price tag of just a little over $1,900, we like the iBUYPOWER Elite as one of the top prebuilt RTX 2080 SUPER PCs currently available.
However, there are cases to be made for some of the other options on this list. For instance, the HP OMEN Obelisk listed below is only ~$70 more expensive and comes with twice the RAM. The Skytech Legacy does come with a weaker processor (at least, for gaming specific purposes), but costs over ~$100 less. And, our DIY PC build option will offer you the same performance at a lower cost.
But, in this guide, we’re mostly assuming that you want a prebuilt desktop. And, of the prebuilt RTX 2080 SUPER PCs out there, we like the fact that the Elite offers the i9-9900K/RTX 2080 SUPER combination at the lowest price.
2. HP OMEN Obelisk
Runner-up RTX 2080 SUPER PC pick
As we mentioned above, the HP OMEN Obelisk is another worthy RTX 2080 SUPER PC. It does cost ~$70 more than the iBUYPOWER Elite desktop despite coming with basically the same hardware configuration. However, it comes with twice the memory (32GB vs 16GB).
For most users, 32GB of RAM will be overkill. But, for certain users (video editors, graphics designers, etc.), the extra RAM will make this option an attractive alternative to the iBUYPOWER Elite. And, even though you could get the Elite and add an additional 16GB of RAM to it for ~$70, the OMEN Obelisk already comes with that extra RAM and so you won’t have to go through the hassle of installing it yourself.
Ultimately, both the iBUYPOWER Elite and the HP OMEN Obelisk are legit options if you’re looking for a prebuilt desktop that has an RTX 2080 SUPER in it. If you like the idea of having 32GB of RAM instead of 16GB of RAM, and you don’t mind paying a little extra to get it, then the HP OMEN Obelisk is probably the option for you.
3. MSI Prestige
Top mini gaming PC w/ RTX 2080 SUPER
If you want a smaller form-factor RTX 2080 SUPER PC option, you have a couple of choices: this MSI Prestige and the Alienware Aurora R9 listed in our Honorable Mentions section. The reality is that, while we’ve listed the MSI Presitge above the Aurora R9, there is a case to be made for the R9 over the Prestige.
The Prestige does come with better hardware. Along with its RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card, it has an Intel Core i9-9900K processor, 32GB of RAM a 1TB SSD, and a secondary 2TB hard drive. However, it comes in at nearly ~$2,500.
The Aurora R9 does come with a weaker Intel Core i7-9700 processor and half the memory (16GB). But, it also comes in at a little under $1,750—making it one of the more affordable options on this list.
The Prestige does come in a bit more compact chassis, though. So, since it is smaller and offers a better overall hardware configuration, we listed it above the Auroa R9. But, if you don’t want to spend nearly ~$2,500 on the Prestige, the Aurora R9 is a very capable alternative. This is especially true when you consider that the real-world in-game difference between the i7-9700/16GB of RAM combination that the Aurora R9 comes with won’t be that much lower than the i9-9900K/32GB of RAM combination that the Prestige comes with.
4. Skytech Legacy Gaming PC
Cheapest RTX 2080 SUPER prebuilt PC
- AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- RTX 2080 SUPER
- 16GB of DDR4 RAM
- 500GB Solid State Drive
If you want a prebuilt desktop with an RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card in it, but you want to spend as little as possible, or you want an option that comes with an AMD Ryzen processor, then the Skytech Legacy is probably your best choice.
The Skytech Legacy comes in at just under $1,750, tying it with the Alienware Aurora R9 as the cheapest prebuilt gaming PCs with an RTX 2080 SUPER in them.
Along with its RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card, the Legacy desktop comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor, 16GB of RAM, a 500GB Solid State Drive, an AIO CPU cooler, RGB fans, and a tempered glass mid tower case.
Overall, the combination of the Ryzen 7 3700X and the RTX 2080 SUPER will be powerful enough to max games out on a 4K monitor. It might not be able to deliver quite as high of a framerate as the options on this list that come with an Intel Core processor, but the difference isn’t so extreme that the discount that this desktop comes in at shouldn’t be considered.
5. $1,750 Gaming PC Build
PC build with an RTX 2080 SUPER
- Intel Core i7-9700K
- RTX 2080 SUPER
- 16GB of DDR4 RAM
- 1TB Solid State Drive

6. Alienware Aurora R9
Honorable mention #1
- Intel Core i7-9700
- RTX 2080 SUPER
- 16GB of DDR4 RAM
- 512GB Solid State Drive
We discussed the Alienware Aurora R9 quite a bit above. It’s an excellent option if you’re looking for a small form-factor gaming PC that has an RTX 2080 SUPER in it. And, it comes in at a significantly lower price than the MSI Prestige mentioned above.
Yes, its Intel Core i7-9700 isn’t as strong of a processor as the i9-9900K found in the MSI Presitge. And, it does come with half the RAM, too. (16GB vs 32GB.) But, it does come in at a discount of nearly ~$800. And, for that big of a discount, the small performance difference between the i7-9700/16GB of RAM combo and the i9-9900K/32GB of RAM combo would be worth the sacrifice in order to save that amount of money.
It should be noted, though, that the Aurora R9 is a bit bigger than the MSI Prestige, though. So, if you’re looking as small of a system as possible, the Presitge does hold that advantage over the Aurora R9 as well.
Either option should serve you well, though, and the lower price of the Aurora R9 should make it an attractive option for anyone who is looking for an RTX 2080 SUPER desktop.
7. SkyTech Omega
Honorable mention #2
Skytech has carved out a good portion of the prebuilt gaming desktop market by offering competitive prices on their systems. In fact, we chose the Skytech Omega as our top pick for the best prebuilt PC with an RTX 2080 Ti graphics card in it.
However, the RTX 2080 SUPER version of Skytech’s Omega desktop lands in our Honorable Mention section for the exact opposite reason that the 2080 Ti version received our top recommendation… it doesn’t have as good of a price-to-performance ratio as its competitors.
But, we felt like it was worth including on this list as Skytech typically prices their desktops at, or below, their competition. So, while the RTX 2080 SUPER Skytech Omega is priced a bit higher than the competition now, it would be worth taking a look at in case the price has come down to more competitive level.
Should You Get an RTX 2080 SUPER PC?
NVIDIA’s RTX 2080 SUPER GPU will allow you to max out any game on a 1080P or 1440P monitor and will allow you to run most games on at least higher settings on a 4K display. It’s the perfect GPU option if you don’t have the extreme budget required to get an RTX 2080 Ti \($1,000+), but you still need extreme gaming performance.
In this guide, we’ve listed six prebuilt desktop options that have an RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card in them. All of these systems will offer you incredibly in-game performance. And, the only real difference between them is the price they come in at. Alternatively, if you’re up or building your own computer, we’ve linked to a list of parts that includes an RTX 2080 graphics card in them, and will offer a superior price-to-performance ratio than the prebuilt systems on this list.
Ultimately, if you’re in the market for a new gaming desktop and you have a little under $2,000 to spend to get one, one of the RTX 2080 SUPER desktops listed above should work well for you.
